Emily Goldman (aka Mrs. G) created Make It after starting a Friday lunch club at a local elementary school during her lunch break as a teacher. The lunch club, which focused on making things related to art and science, started with 11 students and wrapped up with 112 in the final session. Emily ran her first weekly summer camps in the Summer of 2025, and has continued with after school classes and summer camps since.
Emily has a Multiple Subject Teaching teaching credential, and most recently taught UTK at Bacich Elementary School. She also has a Ph.D. in Higher Education and works with high school students in the college application process. She has four kids – Brooklyn (13), Skylar (10), Dylan (7) and Hudson (7) and four cats, and lives in Greenbrae with her fellow SF Giants loving husband Jason.
